Meet Bourbon & Tequila
The people behind the ratings.
We aren't professional critics. We're a sailing couple who got tired of paying good money for bad margaritas. So we started rating them.
What began as a simple search for a better margarita became 170 ratings, 10 states, 3 countries, sailing adventures, hidden waterfront gems, unexpected friendships and a community we never expected.
Today we personally visit every location, order the house margarita and rate the experience using our BLT Ratings™ system.
Everything you see here is real. We personally visit every location, order the house margarita, pay our own bill, and tell the story exactly as we experienced it.
Sometimes we find a Perfect 25. Sometimes somebody needs to Walk the Plank. Either way, there's usually a story.
Life's Too Short for Bad Margaritas.
